    1. From Lisa Trenberth, Institute of Physics Publishing:

The Institute of Physics would like to remind you that Journal for Statistical Mechanics: Theory and Experiment (JSTAT) is available free online until the end of 2004.

JSTAT brings together cutting-edge research on all aspects of statistical physics, particularly emphasizing experimental work that impacts on essential aspects of the subject. We have published 50 articles to date and have already exceeded our target of 80 submissions in 2004. If you would like to submit a paper you are invited to contact the Executive Editor at SISSA. Visit https://jstat.sissa.it/ for more details.

Free access in 2004 Access to the full-text is free of charge for 2004 ensuring high visibility within the community. From January 2005, a low annual subscription rate of GBP 500 (plus VAT) will be introduced for institutional access. For information on taking out a subscription please contact [email protected].

    2. We are in the process of updating our Associate Member section on the IAMP website. The following text contains extracts from the information that will be on our updated website, which is why some of it is out of context here.

      American Mathematical Society (AMS)

The American Mathematical Society offers many titles in the subject area of Mathematical Physics. Below are just a few of these titles. For a complete list of Mathematical Physics titles available from the AMS, click here. New titles are added monthly, so please check this page often for the latest information or sign up to receive a monthly e-mail announcing new publications from the AMS.

      Visit http://www.ams.org/bookstore/iamppage/ for more details.

      Birkhäuser

Birkhäuser is happy to offer to all IAMP following special discounts: 20% on all Birkhäuser journals and 25% on all Birkhäuser books. To profit from these discounts IAMP members should clearly quote their membership when ordering any Birkhäuser publications. Please visit http://www.birkhauser.ch/.

      Erwin Schrödinger Institute, Vienna

It is a pleasure to inform you that the Erwin Schrödinger Institute in Vienna has become an Associate Member of IAMP. It is the second research institute to do so (the first being the Leipzig Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences). One of the premier institutes devoted to mathematical physics, it has made a name for itself as one of the main forces in our field. We look forward to working together to promote mathematical physics. Visit http://www.esi.ac.at/ for more details.

      Fields Institute, Toronto

      Mutual beneficial collaboration. Visit http://www.fields.utoronto.ca/.

      International Press (IP)

IP offers a discount to all IAMP members in good standing. They offer 20% on all books. Moreover, during 2004, a 15% discount (on individual orders) is offered on ATMP, giving a discounted price of $102. When ordering through email to [email protected], or by fax to 617-623-3101, mention your status as a member of IAMP and request the appropriate discount. The website URL is http://www.intlpress.com/.

      Institute of Physics Publishing (IoP)

The Institute of Physics is pleased to support IAMP as an associate member. The IOP is an international learned society, professional body and publisher of books and journals.

Books: Members can get a discount of 25% when buying books. Remember to mention your IAMP membership when ordering books from IOP so that you can get the discount. Visit http://www.iop.org/ for more details.

      Kluwer

Our journal "Letters in Mathematical Physics" has a special price for IAMP members (currently 240 Euro versus the ordinary list price of 1076 Euro). This is listed in the journal inside cover and on the journal homepage (http://www.kluweronline.com/issn/0377-9017/). We have subscriptions at this price as well.

Kluwer and Springer have now merged to become one company. Former Kluwer books will be available at the same discount as the old Springer titles (see Springer-Verlag).

Reduced prices effective as of 2006 are being negotiated for the following journals "Journal of Statistical Physics"and "Mathematical Physics, Analysis and Geometry".

      MaPhySto, Denmark

The Network in Mathematical Physics and Stochastics (MaPhySto) is financed by The Danish National Research Foundation. The Network is set up to carry out research in selected topics in mathematical physics and stochastics (and, to some extent, in mathematical biology and analytic number theory) at the highest international level. MaPhySto is located administratively in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Aarhus and shares facilities (library, computers, equipment etc.) with the Department. However, the group of Danish researchers that participate in MaPhySto as principal investigators come not only from the University of Aarhus but also from University of Copenhagen, University of Southern Denmark and Aalborg University. MaPhySto organizes workshops, conferences, concentrated advanced courses, short and long term visits and has PhD students and postdoc positions, at all four Universities. Up to date information about activities etc. can be found on the web site http://www.maphysto.dk/.

      Max Planck Institute, Leipzig

The research of the institute concerns analysis, geometry, mathematical biology, mathematical physics, and scientific computing. Is is dominated by its guest program (see http://www.mis.mpg.de/).

      Microsoft Research

Microsoft Research supports basic computer science research with the goal of enpowering people by advancing the state of the art. Microsoft researchers contribute to the computer science community in many ways. They write and present papers, give workshops, and serve as program chairs and reviewers. Visit http://www.research.microsoft.com/ for more details.

      Springer-Verlag

Springer-Verlag offers IAMP and its individual members a discount of 33 1/3% on all books published by Springer-Verlag. Moreover, it also offers its journal "Communications in Mathematical Physics", one of the leading journals in the field, to the members of the IAMP at a reduced price. Visit http://www.springeronline.com/ for more details.

      World Scientific

A 25% discount for all books.

For `Reviews in Mathematical Physics' the subscription rate is $162, including airmail postage. The offer is not valid with other discounts offered by WSP, and it is valid only for items purchased strictly for personal use. To secure this discount it is necessary and sufficient to be an IAMP member in good standing and to state one's IAMP membership number when ordering. (Contact [email protected] or [email protected]).
