IAMP Supported Conferences

The IAMP supports conferences in Mathematical Physics in three categories:

its triennial International Congress in Mathematical Physics (ICMP),
as category C below, however with an additional financial support up to Euro 3000,
endorsement as an official IAMP conference; in particular the conference will be posted on our web site and announced in the News Bulletin.

The condition for categories B and C is that a major part of the conference must cover topics from Mathematical Physics.

Applications for category C should be sent to the Secretary. For category C a conference program, including a list of speakers, is needed and the application should be made at least 6 weeks in advance of the conference; a timely application helps to spread the information.

Applications for category B should be sent to the President, and must be made at least 6 months in advance of the conference. Please send a single PDF file containing at least the following information:

a description of the planned event and of its scientific scope
dates and location of the event
scientific committee, if there is one, and local organising committee
a (provisional) list of speakers
the expected number of participants and a brief description of the targeted audience
a financial plan, detailing other sources of support and expected expenses.

The entire text need not be longer than one or two pages, as long as all information is provided.

Decisions about Category B applications are taken at three-monthly intervals on January 15, April 15, July 15 and October 15; on January 15 we decide about the applications which arrived not later than January 1, etc.
