Message from the organizers of ICMP09
The Congress is approaching
Less than a month is left to the ICMP in Prague. Let us summarize the news in brief, for more information we refer to the congress page http://www.icmp09.com
Registration: About 575 participants registered to this date. You can still decide to attend the congress; the online registration facility is open till July 26
Programme : Finished up to a final fine-tuning. There will be 16 plenary talks, 70 invited session talks, 60 contributed talks and about 190 posters
Young Researcher Symposium : On July 31 and August 1, there will be 6 plenary lectures and 26 seminars
Prizes: The winners of the Poincare Prize sponsored by Iagolnizer Foundation and the IAMP Early Career Award will festively announced on August 3. At the YRS the IUPAP Young Scientist Prizes will be awarded.
IAMP General Assembly: It is scheduled for August 3 at 8pm. The next congress site and other matters concerning future of the Association will be discussed.
Supplementary programme : Round table discussion, journal meetings, human rights session, ICMP history exhibition, and more
Social programme: Organ concert in St. Vitus Cathedral, string quartet concert, congress dinner, and more

Nominations for the Abel prize
The IAMP has been invited to send nominat�ons for the next Abel prize see http://www.abelprisen.no. The EC welcomes recommendations from members. The deadline is Sept. 15. 2009
Journal Annales Henri Poincar�: Best Paper Prize and Distinguished Paper Awards
The journal "Annales Henri Poincar�" (AHP), jointly published by the Institute Henri Poincar� and the Swiss Physical Society in cooperation with Birkh�user Verlag, rewards every year the most remarkable papers published in AHP.
The AHP Prize for the best paper is awarded since 2001. Since 2008, the AHP board additionally selects up to three "Distinguished Paper Awards" for outstanding articles published in AHP. All awarded papers are freely accessible via the journal website at
At ICMP'09 in Prague, the medals and the certificates are presented to the laureates of the AHP Prize and the AHP Distinguished Paper Awards on Wednesday August 5, 2009.
